Alchemy began with two Manchester lads--self-taught amateur artists and model makers. Jobless and into rock and punk music in Leicester in 1977, GK started making punk anti-jewellery and selling it to local shops and by mail order. Demand grew, he teamed up with TP, and soon they were being asked to make tour merchandise for bands. 40 years later, the English-based art, design, manufacturing, and distribution company has grown to become an international brand. This officially licensed calendar features 13 choice images procured from their highly sought-after original artwork and design collection.

In his childhood, artist Kerem Beyit enjoyed drawing, sketching and imitating covers drawn by his favourite fantasy artist, Frank Frazetta. During his college years he was inspired to take up drawing again, partly due to meeting H.R. Giger. Giger's use of airbrush and contrasting of realistic style with fantastical subjects had a great impact on Beyit.

This notebook features the most famous image from Robert John Thornton's New Illustration of the Sexual System of Carolus von Linnaeus (1799-1807). His book was comprised of three parts: a dissertation on the reproductive cycle of plants, an explanation of Linnaeus' plant system, and 'The Temple of Flora'. This third and final part was the most ambitious and has become instantly recognizable.

Van Gogh painted a series of pictures depicting sunflowers, having first been inspired by the yellow flowers in Paris when he saw them growing in the gardens of Montmartre. Sunflowers were symbolic of life and hope to the artist, and could also be associated with his concept of the sun - glowing, yellow and hopeful.
